Ugh we are lost...
...STILL driving...
Still driving...
Got up at 5:30 this morning to watch the sunrise on he beach! Then we went to learn about salt marshes and now we are on our long drive up to Virginia.
Only three days left in our trip. The first 8 weeks crawled by so slowly, but this last week is flying by. I kinda wish we still had a few more weeks to go.

Dead Marsh Trees

These trees were killed when the beach receded towards the mainland because nearby development and jetties starved the coast of sand.

Salt Marsh Journey

We walked about a quarter mile into the salt marsh to see the native plants and animals. I got pretty muddy but caught a few crabs and took some cool pictures!

This is John

For some reason Jon loves to have tiny pigtailes put into his hair. Then he takes the rubber bands out and shoots people. People are beginning to dislike Jon.

An ancient Kiva which could have been used to perform religious ceremonies, as a hot tub, or to play primative games of hopscotch.

Just passed a bar called "The Lonesome Dove". Reminds me of our birdfeeder and our own lonesome dove.

Dinosaur Tracks!

There were many others, but these were the easiest to see. There were also some really cool trace fossils of roots sticking out of the cliff.

Indian Gardens

It was greener than i thought it would be. There were also super intelligent squirrels that would cooperate together to distract you and steal your food.
